Betty Ekern Suiter's Creation Springs Forth won 3rd Place in Traditional Appliqué at Houston. Here’s what Betty had to say about the quilt: “The design inspired by a 16th century rug, this quilt took 3,630 hours and over four years to complete. The quilt is entirely made by hand. The hand trapunto and quilting used 3,000 yards of thread.”
