See "Poppy's Rainbow" a quilt by Mark L. Sherman
Mark L. Sherman created Poppy's Rainbow in memory of his Dad (who his kids called Poppy). His two kids are in the quilt as butterflies and Mark is in the quilt as a frog. He told his kids as a joke, "If you don't behave, I'm going to eat you..."
Here's a blog post from the past regarding the quilt:
“Fresh from the 2013 AQS QuiltWeek - Paducah is Poppy's Rainbow by Mark L. Sherman winner of 1st Place, Large Wall Quilts: Longarm/Midarm Machine Quilted. Mark spent many months working on the turned edge appliqués, quilting and fills. He even added a few Swarovski crystals for highlights. Poppy's Rainbow also took Best of Show at the World Quilt Show - Florida IV last November.”
