See "Smile" a Quilt by Leanne Chahley - QuiltCon Best of Show 2019

Winning Best of Show at QuiltCon 2019 was Smile by Leanne Chahley and the members of her international quilting bee, Bee Sewcial. Utilizing "maximalist improv blocks using all the colours and no neutrals", it was quilted "with industrial, modern, densely hand-drawn lines" using a longarm. Leanne sums it up best, "This quilt never fails to make me smile, both because she is so full of life and because she shines with the creativity of each of my bee mates." It, well, certainly puts a smile on our face with how beautiful it looks.

While we were at QuiltCon 2019, we happen to sneak up on the Quilt Alliance while they were taping a "Go Tell It at The Quilt Show!" interview with Leanne. It was a video within a video :) Watch the video below the quilt photos and find out how the quilt came together. And, a great big thank you to the Quilt Alliance for allowing us to shadow them.
