Appliqué Made Easy

Tools are an important part of any art or craft. Not finding what she wanted, Spanish quilter Rosa Rojas decided to invent her own.

Alex was skeptical at first and is now a big backer of Rosa’s appliqué tools and methods. Take a look as the inventor herself shows how they work.

Make it stand out

Traditional blocks that look fresh and modern. Susan Cleveland brings new life to the Dresden Plate block.

With Susan in the house, you will learn and have fun at the same time. Creativity is supposed to be fun, right?

This show is subtitled in 6 languages - English, Spanish, German, Italian, French & Russian.

In Memoriam

It is with great sadness that we report the loss of Quilt Legend, Roberta Horton. Roberta passed away February 4, 2021, from Lymphoma. She was at home with her family by her side. It has been requested that cards only be sent to The Quilt Show (address below) where we will gather them and pass on to her family:

The Quilt Show, 2468 Armstrong Street, Livermore, CA 94551

In her memory, we are opening up the Legends show where she allowed us into the home she shared with her sister, Mary Mashuta. Join us, as we visit the charming 1915 Craftsman bungalow of Roberta and Mary in Berkeley, CA.

Roberta was the founding author of C&T Publishing and to honor her memory they have set up a GoFundMe page to help offset the expenses incurred during her end of life. Please join them in celebrating Roberta's life and easing the burden on her family.

Artist at Work

Creative, innovative, and a true artist. We are talking about YOU after you are inspired by the work of Deborah Boschert.

Don’t have the exact fabric you need? Deborah shows you how to “extend” the fabrics you have to become the fabrics you need.

Julie Silber brings in quilts from the 1820s to 1950s. Some look very modern.

Block of the Month

BOMS break down quilts into steps that can lead to making a quilt you never thought possible.

Star members get the Block of the Month pattern free for the year. The patterns cost more than the price of a 1-year membership, so it’s worth the price of admission.

Barbara Black shows us techniques for making Wendy Williams’ quilt, Color My World.

On the Shoulders of Giants

There are great quilters who have blazed the paths before us and made quilting easier and more accessible to those of us who came after.

One of those people is Jean Wells. An artist, store owner, and creator of the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Festival, Jean tells us of her journey and gives some good quilting tips at the same time.
